In 2026, BOKAI BAFAN exhibited at four major global trade shows: the Canton Fair in China in May, Expo Riva Schuh in Italy in June, MAGIC Las Vegas in August, and the 102nd MICAM Milano in September — spanning Asia, Europe, and the Americas. But the journey continues — in November, we return to the 140th Canton Fair.

Review: The First Three Shows

May · Canton Fair: Presented in-house designed new collections in Guangzhou, drawing enthusiastic crowds and securing cooperation intentions from Europe, the Americas, and emerging markets.

June · Expo Riva Schuh: Traveled to Italy, earning wide recognition from European buyers with high-quality casual footwear, consolidating its European presence.

August · MAGIC Las Vegas: Debuted at North America’s largest footwear and apparel show with exclusive styles developed for the region. Founder Kian Yang was on-site and led the team to visit key North American clients.

Stop Four · The 102nd MICAM Milano

From September 13 to 15, 2026, the 102nd MICAM Milano was held at Fiera Milano Rho, bringing together 758 brands from 29 countries and buyers from 130 countries. Themed “SHOES FIRST,” it placed footwear at the center of fashion creativity and market transformation.

During the show, MICAM NEXT focused on AI, retail innovation, and emerging design talent, and unveiled four macro-trends for Spring/Summer 2027: Mare Noir, Urban Beach, Tribal Relics, and Summer Residence. Footwear design is moving from minimalism toward personalization, with color, texture, and decoration gaining importance.

BAFAN presented its in-house designed exclusive new styles in Milan, drawing attention from European and international buyers. Buyers from France, Germany, Spain, Poland, and other markets expressed clear interest in BOKAI BAFAN‘s design and craftsmanship, particularly praising its in-house sole development capability.

 2027 Spring/Summer Footwear Trends from MICAM Milano

The 102nd MICAM Milano wrapped up in September, and it gave us a clear preview of Spring/Summer 2027. The season is defined by bold color, retro silhouettes, and soles that speak for themselves — a shift away from minimalism toward personality-driven design.

In Image 1 (women’s look), bright pink and grass green take center stage, a bold pairing that signals color has returned as the primary storyteller for Spring/Summer 2027. The chunky dad sneaker — a key silhouette of the season — features a layered upper mixing mesh, suede, and metallic accents, adding both depth and texture. Notably, the brand name is molded directly into the side of the sole, elevating the sole from a purely functional component to a design signature. This detail reflects the growing emphasis on in-house sole development and branded craftsmanship. Off-white and sand tones ground the look, while warm orange adds a sun-kissed accent that nods to the Urban Beach and Summer Residence trends. Together, these elements capture a season that celebrates bold self-expression without sacrificing everyday wearability.

In Image 2 (men‘s look), retro sportswear returns to center stage. A royal blue low-profile trainer with white stripes and a gum sole — clean, classic, and timeless — is paired with sand-colored shorts and a light inner layer, balancing high-saturation color with neutral, grounded tones. This silhouette appeared repeatedly across the show, not just as a nostalgic revival but as a clear signal of where the market is heading. With its sleek profile, versatile appeal, and everyday comfort, the retro low-profile sneaker is set to be a core staple for Spring/Summer 2027, offering a fresh alternative to the chunky dad sneaker.
